Discovery
Peekabook is a small company that is trying to bring books purchases closer to people in a affordable, sustainable and convenient way, advocating for second hand or new items with different features for the collector and the the average readers.
Brief
The project is aiming to create an user friendly app for users be able to do the following things:
- List/update/delete books to sell
- Browse books to buy
We wanted to give to the website a more organic, rustic look designing their logo.
Methods
As a team, we used Agile Methodology, daily meetings and segregated big tasks in smaller tasks that were distributed within the team members, relying in Trello list (To do, doing and done) to keep track of our progress.
We started from the design of the website, using iterations, user testing, assumptions, creation of target audience, personas and user journey before to jump into the creation of low and high fidelity wireframes.
At the same time as the team worked in the design, once some agreement was reached about different components, we started to create a technical documentation which included basic HTML and CSS to be use in the code (this was included in a later stage in our root folder), good code practices rules and fragmentation of pages into smaller components to be developed using Vue as a framework.
While HTML and CSS was been developed, backend was put together and in a posterior stage, debugged once the page was ready to be added functionality.
